Jay Wheeler, born José Ángel López Martínez, is a Puerto Rican singer-songwriter celebrated for a genre-blending sound that fuses Pop, Reggaeton, Trap, and R&B — positioning him as one of the most heartfelt and authentic voices in Latin music today.

In 2025 he ushered in a new chapter with his eighth studio album, Girasoles — a deeply personal project dedicated to his wife Zhamira, his daughter Aiunii, and his mother. The album has surpassed 170 million global streams and earned his third Latin GRAMMY® nomination for the track "Roma."

His global hit La Curiosidad, with Myke Towers, cemented him as an international sensation — surpassing 1 billion streams on Spotify and 1.1B views on YouTube. In 2024 he toured TRAPPii across the U.S., Latin America, and the Iberian Peninsula, reaching 75,000 fans live.

Beyond music, Jay is an autism advocate and ambassador for Easter Seals, and runs the Jay Wheeler Scholarship with the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy High School.
